- Drug use is the increasing problem among teenagers in today’s high schools. Most drug use begins in the preteen and teenage years, these years most crucial in the maturation process. During these years adolescents are faced with difficult tasks of discovering their self identity, clarifying their sexual roles, assenting independence, learning to cope with authority and searching for goals that would give their lives meaning.
- First, drugs is a personal issue to me. For most of my life, I have been living in places where drugs have surrounded me. For the past ten years, I have been living in the Duncan Projects in Jersey City, where the temptation of selling, buying, or even using drugs seems to be growing every day.
- By pure mischance a high school student named Vargas happens to walk by smokers corner on his way home. Unlucky for him, his friend Johnny Bluejean is one the corner smoking a blunt. Johnny stops Vargas and offers him a smoke. Vargas tempted with all Johnny?s endorsements, and peer pressure collapses and takes the blunt.
- For several decades drugs have been one of the major problems of society. Not only has the drug problem increased but also drug related problems are on the rise. Some people are born addicts, while others become users. The result of drug abuse is thousands of addicts in denial.
- Being that it is now the year , drugs have been around quite a long time. We should all know whats going on, and I think most of us do. Regardless, I think most are too ignorant to admit the obvious. Now you ask yourself why teenagers use drugs? Most try to come up with excuses such as, “they re depressed” or “peer pressure.
